Maldives Civil Protest against President Nasheed and his corrupt government gains momentum as civilians continue to gather at the "Tsunami monument" on the South eastern corner of the capital, Male'. Police and Military Forces have cordoned off the area and have blocked all roads leading to the rally site.

Municipal Councils in various islands are also reported to have stepped up actions against civil protestors in the islands. Sound systems for the civic protest in Kuda Huvadhoo have been smashed by persons unknown. Police have told media that they investigating the matter.
